We are small group limited to 8 members as we meet in members’ homes.
The members agree the choice of book to read each month. Books are chosen up to 3 months in advance and preferably at least one copy is in the library. Each year we try and read a classic, a book written by a local author or set locally, overseas author and either a biography or autobiography.
Reactions to the chosen book vary, but discussion of the book is usually lively and invariably leads to a lively discussion on a related (or unrelated) topic. Occasionally we read a book that not all members enjoy but the beauty of the group is introducing us to new authors.
